mirko baricchi was born in la spezia in 1970.

after high school he attended the palazzo spinelli art and restoration Institute. after working as an illustrator in mexico, he returned to italy in the late 1990s with the intention of dedicating his life exclusively to painting. His most recent work is characterized by an insistent succession of processes characterized by rapid application and removal of pictorial material with the greatest possible freedom in composition and subject matter, leaving only minimal traces of figurative stylistic features.
