mirko baricchi
After completing in 1992 his studies at the Palazzo Spinelli Art Institute in Florence, Mirko Baricchi travels to Mexico, where he was captivated by Rufino Tamayo’s work during his museum visits. After a successful exhibition at the Museo Siqueros, he returns to Italy and decides to fully commit to his art. His most recent works are characterized by a series of methodical processes, contrasted with quick gestures of applying and removing paint, expressing great freedom in composition and subject matter, where only minimal figurative traces remain.
